Window tint cures in 3 to 5 days in warm weather and up to 10 to 14 days in cold New York winters. During the curing period you may see light haziness or small water pockets trapped under the film — this is completely normal and resolves on its own as the film adheres to the glass. We do offer a windshield add-on, and it is the single best place to add UV and infrared protection because that is where the sun hits hardest. New York regulates windshield light transmission specifically, and what is permissible depends on your vehicle's factory glass, so this is one we walk through with you individually rather than quoting blind. Pricing is +$100 on Stage 1, +$125 on Stage 2, and +$150 on Stage 3, bringing your total to $299, $424, or $599 respectively. Regular dyed tint blocks glare and UV but does almost nothing for heat — it absorbs infrared instead of rejecting it, so your cabin still bakes in a New York summer. Ceramic tint (our Stage 2 and Stage 3 films) rejects 82-99% of infrared heat instead of just absorbing it, so the glass stays cooler and your A/C works less. We don't carry dyed film at all — every stage we install is nano-carbon or nano-ceramic, because dyed tint fades and doesn't hold up.
